At the end of the gallery are pictures of clients with their originals. I put in some samples of Kuretake swatches at the end as well. All of my originals are available in a high quality Giclee print. Exactly what is Giclee?

Giclée (pronounced zhee-clay) printing is a high-resolution, archival-quality inkjet printing method used to produce superior fine art reproductions, photography, and limited-edition prints. Utilizing specialized inkjet technology, pigment-based inks are sprayed onto acid-free, archival paper or canvas to create vibrant colors, fine details, and enhanced durability that can last over 100 years.

Key Features of Giclée Prints:

  • Archival Quality: Uses pigment-based inks (rather than dye-based) which are more resistant to fading, designed to last 100–200 years.

  • High Resolution & Detail: Printed at very high resolutions (often 1440 to 2880 DPI), allowing for precise color matching to the original artwork.

  • Superior Materials: Printed on archival-quality, acid-free cotton rag paper or canvas.

  • Inkjet Technology: Uses advanced printers with multiple ink cartridges (sometimes 12 or more) to achieve a wider color range and smoother gradients.

Giclée vs. Standard Printing:
Unlike standard inkjet printing, which may use lower-quality inks and paper that fade over time, giclée prints offer archival, gallery-quality results. The term originated in the late 1980s from the French word gicler, meaning "to spray," to distinguish these high-quality reproductions from traditional, commercial prints

A friend of mine showed me a very old photgraph of a hotel his family bought. I thought it would be an interesting study in watercolor. One area I need to improve on is architecture.

The name of the hotel is "The Leland House".

Famous visitors to this hotel included Jim Thorpe, Pop Warner, Govenor Hugh Carey, Govenor Cuomo and many other dignitaries.

The tavern area was called the "Dan Patch Lounge".

Dr. Ralph Waite, the inventor of Novacaine was also a noted visitor.
